One of the most common complaints we humans say is that we are always tired all the time. Although different stresses in life can help contribute to our tiredness and fatigue, we can actually combat them by making some simple lifestyle changes.

Tiredness, if left to its own devices, can actually hamper our ability to do fine work and it can also affect our family and relationships as well. There are many reasons why we get tired and in today’s article, I will talk more about it and how you can beat tiredness and fatigue.

What is Fatigue?

Before I talk about how you can beat tiredness and fatigue, it is important that we define it first. Fatigue is the feeling of being tired. Even though it may seem obvious, fatigue is actually different from sleeping or a feeling of drowsiness.

Fatigue is caused by a number of different factors. It can either be due to physical stress such as diabetes, anemia, or fever. It can be caused by psychological factors including stress, depression, and anxiety. And, it can also be caused by physiological cues such as inadequate sleep, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and excessive exercise.

For the most part, when you are tired due to strenuous physical activities, emotional stress, lack of sleep, or even boredom, these factors do not fall into the “medical problem” category.

You can also experience fatigue based on some lifestyle choices such as staying up too late (often), drinking too much alcohol, having too much caffeine, and excessive eating of junk and processed foods.

What Are the Medical Causes of Fatigue?

If the tiredness that you feel is not caused by physical activities and stressors mentioned in the previous segment, then it may be caused by some underlying medical conditions.

What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

When you experience tiredness for a prolonged period of time, that can already be classified as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
